This study aimed to identify the role of the Faculty of Education at the University of Kuwait in promoting intellectual security in Kuwaiti society. To achieve this goal, the researcher used a number of research methodologies, which relied on the historical research methodology to identify the evolution of the concept of intellectual security in Islamic culture and contemporary philosophies. The researcher also relied on the descriptive approach, where the researcher used interviews with the professors of the Faculty of Education at Kuwait University to reveal the degree of the role of the Faculty of Education in promoting intellectual security, as well as preparing a questionnaire that included (61) paragraphs distributed on two main axes: the students cognitive requirements , skills, moral and social needs and how to enhance the intellectual security of the student teacher through the curriculum, activities and faculty member. The sample of the study included 209 students out of the study population of 2091 students for the academic year 2017-2018. The field study showed that : 1) The educational and cultural field needs to know the concept of intellectual security and activate it in Kuwaiti society. 2) The curriculum didn’t refer or rather emphasize the need to enhance intellectual security and also the need for students to enhance intellectual security to face the extremist and perverted ideas. Therefore, the study called for the inclusion of intellectual security topics in teacher preparation programs, and to demonstrate ways to activate the role of the Faculty of Education at Kuwait University in enhancing intellectual security in the Kuwaiti society.
