This study investigated the effectiveness of a training program based on Psychological Flow in developing learned optimism and the Quality of Emotional Life among university students. The experimental method was used to achieve the goals of the study, the learned optimism, and the quality of emotional life measures were applied to a sample consist of (369) under graduated students of male and female at Philadelphia University. It's distributed was as follows (237) male and (132) female. Forty male and female students were selected with (20) male and (20) female students, who scored the lowest scores in the measures of learned optimism and the quality of emotional life, and those who had the desire to participate in the training program based on psychological flow, were reassigned in a simple random way, to two experimental and control groups, so that each group includes (20) male and female students .The researcher used the semi-experimental design, in order to verify the two types of internal and external validity due to The selection and appointment of students of the two groups randomly. The program was implemented in the second semester of the year 2018/2019. The results of current study indicate that There were statistically significant differences between the two means of the pre and post measurements of the performance of the members of the experimental group on the learned optimism test at (a = 0.05); that exceeded the test of learned optimism compared to their pre-test of their performance against it. The results also showed that there is a statistically significant difference at (a = 0.05) between the two means of the post and follow up measurements of the performance of the study sample individuals on the tested optimistic test attributed to the group; in favor of members of the experimental group who received training on psychological flow. The results also showed that there was no statistically significant difference at (a = 0.05) between the two means of the measurements of the performance of the individuals in the study sample on the learned optimism test attributed to sex or group interaction with gender. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences for the pre and post measurements of the performance of the male experimental group on the quality of emotional life scale, and a statistically significant differences for the pre and post measurements of the performance of the members of the experimental group as a whole and of the female members of the experimental group on the measure of the quality of emotional life; The results also showed that there was a statistically significant differences for the post and follow up measures of the sample of the study on the quality of emotional life scale in which the members of the experimental group excelled, and the absence of statistically significant differences attributed to gender and the interaction between them.
