أثر نموذج تدريسي مقترح في ضوء نظرية أوزبل في تنمية التحصيل الرياضي والاستيعاب المفاهيمي لدى تلاميذ الصف الرابع الإبتدائي

This study aims to identify the impact of a proposed teaching model based on the Ausubel Theory in developing mathematical achievement and conceptual understanding among fourth grade students. The researcher used a qualitative quantitative methodology; in building the proposed model the study used the qualitative method and used the quantitative method by the semi-experimental approach. The researcher selected Ibn Qayyim primary school in Al-Darb governorate purposefully. The study sample consisted of (33) students. The researcher allocated the participants into two groups; an experimental group of (18) students, and a control group of (15) students. The researcher implemented two tools; the achievement test and the conceptual understanding test. Statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) between student’s means scores in both groups in the posttests of achievement and conceptual understanding were found, in favor of the experimental group. The study recommends training mathematics teachers on employing theories in general and the Ausubel theory in specific. Teachers are also recommended to benefit from the proposed model and tests of the study. (Published abstract)
