The study aims at investigating the effect of using Data Inquiry Strategy in developing graphing skills of grade 10 female students. To achieve this, the study used a quasi-experimental research design with control and experimental groups, (30 individuals each). The study lasted 8 weeks during the second semester of the academic year 2017-2018. To answer the research question, a Teacher Manual was developed and submitted to a jury of expertise n=13, to check its usability for teaching 10th grade students. The research instrument is a graphing-skill test reviewed by 17 experts to secure its validity. The test reliability was checked using internal consistency (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.91) indicating a suitable reliability value. The results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the level of a = 0.05 between the mean scores of the two groups in the graphing skill test in favor of the experimental group. In addition, there was a large effect size in the graphing skill scores as a result of using data transformation and interpretation strategy. In light of these findings, the study recommended designing exemplary lessons using such strategy to be included in the teachers' manuals of the science curricula to help them in preparing similar lessons. It also recommended training the science teachers and supervisors in using data inquiry strategy and providing them with ways that help them equip their students with graphing skills. Besides, the study suggested conducting further research to investigate other variables like academic achievement and visual and statistical thinking. (Published abstract)
