فاعلية الإرشاد باللعب في خفض الإحساس بالوحدة النفسية لدى أطفال دور الأيتام في ليبيا
The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of using play therapy in reducing the psychological loneliness among orphanage children in Libya. The study sample consisted of 24 orphan children in the Residential Care Homes in the cities of Misrata and Tripoli. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the quasi-experimental method was used. The psychological loneliness test was used, and a training program based on play therapy was developed. The study sample was randomly divided into: experimental and control groups with 12 members each. The experimental group received a training program consisting of 15 sessions, while the control group were not subjected to any therapeutic intervention. The performance of both groups was measured before and after the counseling program, while the follow-up was taken for the experimental group three weeks after the end of the program. Comparing results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the psychological loneliness test in favor of the experimental group that attended the counseling program. Results also indicated that the impact of the program on the experimental group continued for three weeks after the end of implementing the program. (Published abstract)
