The study aimed at identifying the degree of practice of UNRWA school committee co-ordinators in the southern governorates of Palestine in terms of managerial competencies in light of the Kotter model of change and suggest ways to improve it. The study utilized the descriptive method as a survey tool, and it adopted the focused group. A questionnaire was used for the collection of data. The study was applied to a sample which consisted of (362) UNRWA school male and female teachers. This number of teachers represented (6%) of the population of the study; the school committee decision-makers were excluded. The sampling was chosen by the stratified random method. And the questionnaire was a tool for data collection. The most important results of the study are as follows: The evaluation of the study sample of the degree of practice of school committee co-ordinators in UNRWA schools in the southern governorates of Palestine for managerial competencies in the light of Kotter's model of change had a relative weight of 54.08%; that is a medium degree. The arrangement of the fields of the questionnaire was according to their relative weights: The field of "concern of discipline" came in the first place; where it scored a relative weight of 57.54%, with a moderate degree. Then the field of team leadership came in the second place; it obtained a relative weight of 57.00%, which is a moderate degree. The field of self-confidence came third; it obtained a relative weight of 54.70%, which is a medium degree. The field of orientation towards achievement came fourth, and it scored a relative weight of 53.66%, which is a moderate degree. The field of analytical thinking came fifth; it obtained a relative weight of 51.36%, which is regarded a low degree. The field of initiative came sixth. It obtained a relative weight of (50.12%), which is a low degree, there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α 0.05) between the mean scores of the subjects assessed of the degree of the school committee co-ordinators practice of the managerial competencies in the light of Kotter's model of change due to the classification variables (gender, years of service, and school type) The differences were in favor of the female teachers and in favor of the 10- years- experience teachers and more and the male teachers working in prep-schools for girls, There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α 0.05) between the mean scores of the respondents assessed of the degree of the school committee co-ordinators exercise of the managerial competencies in the light of Kotter's model of change for those who, on the one hand, belong to Jabalia, Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia, and those who on the other hand, belong to Gaza, and the Central Area. The differences were in favor of the teachers who belonged to the regions of Gaza and Central Area, There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α 0.05) between the mean scores of the subjects assessed of the degree of school committee co-ordinators practice of managerial competencies in light of Kotter's model of change attributed to the scientific qualification variable, Based on the findings, the study came to several recommendations; among its most important are as follows: Setting a guidebook for the work of school committees, To make educational decisions that urge the implementation of training programs to develop the managerial competencies of school committee coordinators, Urging the school administration for committee coordinators to conduct an in-depth study of the capabilities of their committee members, so that tasks are distributed a according to the level and quality of these capabilities.
