The study dealt with the role of information management systems in improving the effectiveness of the performance of virtual education libraries. The study chose the following hypotheses: There is a statistically significant relationship between information management systems and improving the performance of virtual libraries. Virtual libraries in virtual education are more comprehensive and easier to access than traditional libraries. There is a statistically significant relationship between the efficient use of library resources and the development of scientific research. To a number of results, the most important of which is the weak financial support provided to the libraries of the Open University of Sudan, which leads to the lack of development of services, which affects the application of their management information systems, The management information systems in the field of virtual libraries are a means of achieving efficiency and efficiency, facilitating the physical and human balance and the documentary balance and helping to reduce costs and achieve high quality goals. The study came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which was the identification of the concepts of administrative information systems in virtual education and the study of their reality. Administrative information systems in the university libraries are an urgent need especially in view of the needs of the beneficiaries. The systems based on the computer can achieve many benefits in terms of providing better services at lower costs. Means saving expenses while maintaining the level of performance and effectiveness.
