The study aimed to highlight the importance of the security media within the society, as well as the role of the security media in creating a kind of self-communication and personal communication skills as the study seeks to answer the questions posed. The field study was conducted on a sample of students of Mohammed Boudiaf University, 100 forms have been retrieved, the study consisted of four chapters. The first was the theoretical frame work and the systematic construction of the study. The second chapter dealt with the security media and its theoretical dimensions the third chapter was for the strategy of security information in the social awareness, while the fourth chapter where the presentation and analysis of data obtained from the form. The study reached the following results: 1) The security media contributes to social awareness (awareness of the dangers of drugs). 2) Most of the respondents did not participate in awareness campaigns, and this is due to the lack of opportunity, as well as the large number of daily concerns. 3) The body responsible for conducting social awareness campaigns is primarily the media as it reaches all segments of society. 4) The reasons for these campaigns is the large number of addicts and lack of awareness in this area. 5) The most appropriate methods of social awareness lies in clarifying the consequences of addiction and the definition of legal sanctions and this is to make these campaigns successful and achieve their goals. 6) Audiovisual media are appropriate to deliver the desired goal of social awareness campaigns.
