The aim of this current study is to evaluate the performance of the student teachers in practicum at the Faculty of Education to teach the English language in the light of their professional needs and it aims to identify the reality of the practice of the student teachers in practicum in the light of their professional needs, and to provide a suggested concept that may help in developing the student teachers’ performance for teaching English language. The tools were applied after their arbitration and statistically adjusted to a group of practicum student teachers, the study sample, which consisted of (100) student teachers. The current research relied on the descriptive approach to the reality of practicum and deriving a list of criteria for the professional needs of practical education for the student teacher, and the development of a proposed concept of practical education. The current research may be useful in: 1) The development of practicum for the student teacher at the Faculty of Education in the light of the professional needs. 2) Drawing the attention of officials in the practical education office to the weaknesses of practical education through the opinions of student teachers and supervisors. 3) Taking advantage of the proposed vision to develop practicum so that it becomes more fulfilling the professional needs.
