The aim of the current research is to identify the speaking problems resulting from bilingualism for students of the preparatory stage in language schools; and to measure the effectiveness of the modelling strategy-based program in treating the speaking problems resulting from their bilingualism. The researcher has used the following tools and materials: a list of speaking problems resulting from bilingualism for middle school students at language schools in Assiut, a modelling strategy-based program, a teacher’s guide for teaching the program, and a note card for speaking problems resulting from bilingualism. The research results revealed the effectiveness of the modelling strategy-based program in treating speaking problems resulting from bilingualism for middle school students in language schools in Assiut.
