التكيف وعلاقته بالخصائص السلوكية للمتفوقين دراسيا لدى تلاميذ السنة الأولى ثانوي : دراسة ميدانية ببعض ثانويات المسيلة
This study aims to identify Adaptation and its correlation to Behavioral Characteristics of outstanding students (high school freshman) in some high schools at M’sila district. In order to test this correlation, a basic study was conducted on a sample of 101 male and female students. Two data collection tools were used: The Adaptation Scale and The Behavioral Characteristics Scale. The psychometric characteristics were testified in a pilot study on a 30 male and female students. Both scales scored a high level of validity and reliability, the T test is used to identify the differences and measure the mean, as well as the correlation measurement using the Pearson test. This study is based on a descriptive approach. The results of the study are: 1) The level of Adaptation among the students is high. 2) The level of behavioral Characteristics of the students is high. 3) There is a positive and weak statistically significant correlation between Adaptation and Behavioral Characteristics. 4) There are no differences in the level of Adaptation according to gender and academic scores. 5) There are differences in the level of Behavioral Characteristics between both genders for females. There are no statistically significant differences in the level of Behavioral Characteristics of the students according to their academic scores (less than 17 and from 17 and above). SPSS 25 is used to process data. Based on these results, a set of recommendations was proposed, the most important of which are: 1) Introducing guidance and counseling, especially for high school freshman, so that they can adapt to the new environment. 2) Allocating special schools for the outstanding students, to help them to fulfill their special needs that distinguish them from other ordinary students.
