This present study aimed to try to uncover the factors that contribute to social perceptions of sexual deviations. Are these factors due to psychological, physiological, religious or social factors, and we have relied in our study on the descriptive method as it is appropriate for this study and what the subject requires. In order to achieve the objectives of the study and to ensure the validity of the hypotheses, and the tool for collecting data was a questionnaire consisting of four factors represented in (the psychological dimension, the physiological dimension, the religious dimension and the social dimension) and after confirming its psychometric characteristics where it was applied to a sample of (51) university students from Universities in Algeria, and where the sample was intentionally selected and using the statistical package Spss, the following results were reached: 1) Social perceptions of sexual deviations are not due to psychological factors. 2) Social perceptions of sexual deviations are not due to physiological factors. 3) Social perceptions of sexual deviations are due to religious factors. 4) Social perceptions of sexual deviations are due to social factors. Based on these results, the researcher developed a set of recommendations and suggestions, the most important of which are: Raising children on religious education in order to help them overcome abnormal sexual practices, and providing social activities that keep them away from abnormal sexual behaviors and practices.
