Our choice, for this research, revolved around the psychological difficulties and their effects on the academic attainment for French language students. We use the qualitative approach trying to see if those psychological obstacles afflicting students in elementary school can affect their performance in the French language. The research participants have been subjected to interviews and through those interviews we noticed that teachers may deal with some students with psychological problems, in elementary school. An analysis of results obtained, indicates that the psychological difficulties of primary school students can take various forms in classroom, and it shows several symptoms. The reasons behind them vary; they might be familial, educational or individual. Those complications could lead to both learning and behavioural problems and can also lead to academic failure.
