The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of social networking in achieving national intellectual awareness and addressing economic and social issues in Jordan society from the perspective of Al-Balqa᾿ Applied University students. Study sample was selected through random sampling cluster of Al-Balqa᾿ Applied University students and their number were (155) students. Questionnaire tool has been applied after checking the validity and reliability for it, which included two fields: the first, "the achieving national intellectual awareness" which included (20) paragraph, and the second, "addressing economic and social issues in the Jordanian society" which included (16) paragraph. Averages and standard deviations were extracted, and the two-way analysis ANOVA (4X2) and Tukey test were used to answer questions study and test the null hypotheses of study. The study concluded that the degree of the impact of achieving national intellectual awareness and addressing economic and social issues in Jordan society were moderate, average total answers reached respectively to both fields (3.65) standard deviation (0.48) and (3.62) and a standard deviation (0.61). The results showed a statistically significant differences in the role of social networking in achieving national intellectual awareness and addressing economic and social issues in Jordan society due to the different academic level, and no significant statistical difference in the role of social networking in achieving national intellectual awareness and addressing economic and social issues in Jordan society due to gender or the interaction between the academic level and gender. In light of these results the study recommended activating the role of social networking more positively touching the impact of the citizen and the nation first. (Published abstract)
