The research aims to determine the degree to which science, technology, society and environment (STSE) issues are included in the science course book for the first intermediate grade in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve the objectives of this research, a descriptive and analytical approach was used. This has been achieved by utilizing content analysis method. A list of science, technology, society and environment issues has been obtained from previous scientific sources and studies. It included (11) main issues, with (44) sub-issues. The validity and reliability of the research tool were verified according to the opinions of a number of educational specialists. The research sample, is the science course book for the first intermediate grade both 1st and 2nd the semesters. The content of the courses was analyzed throughout and the main issues and sub-issues were documented. Then data was analyzed and processed using appropriate statistical methods to gain the final results. The results of this research can be summarized as follows: (STSE) issues were available in the science course (student book) in various proportions, where the percentage was (75%) in the 2nd intermediate grade; which is a high percentage ,then the availability rate is (25%) in the intermediate first grade course for the 1st semester which is a low percentage. The issues (Human health and illness) had the highest frequency in the total number of cases, at a rate of (16%), which is a very low availability rate, whereas, the issue (lack of energy) came with the least frequency of the total number of recurrences by (4%), which is a very low percentage and yet, while the war technology issue wasn’t included in the content of the science course for the first intermediate grade. The researchers recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity of rebuilding and developing science courses for the intermediate stage through issues of science, technology, society and the environment(STSE), an affirmation of curriculum developers and developers to take into account the inclusion of issues not included in the content of the science course for the first intermediate grade, they also presented a series of proposals for research and studies related to (STSE) issues.
