The current study aimed to identify the degree of self-management application in the administrative work in Palestine Technical University Kadoorie, the reality of self-management in the same University, and the proposals associated with its support. It, also, seeks to know the effects of the variables gender, function, academic qualification, and years of service in the degree of self-management application. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was developed consisting of (32) items divided into four fields; administrative organization, Participatory teamwork, decisions-making, activity and creativity and employees’ creativity. The questionnaire’s validity and reliability was confirmed. The study sample consisted of (143) from the university's administrators. As for the method, the descriptive approach was used. The results of the study showed that all fields of study and the total obtained were of a medium degree of application. The results also showed that the level of self-management is limited, and that there were differences in degree of self-management application attributed to the variable of function in favor of the departments’ heads. No significant differences in the variables of gender, academic qualification, and years of service were found. The study recommended developing the administrative system at Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie so that it would allow the delegation of powers, and facilitate the application of self management.
