فاعلية برنامج إرشادي انتقائي لتنمية التوافق النفسي والاجتماعي لدى الايتام ذوي الظروف الخاصة في المرحلة الثانوية
The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a selective counseling program to develop psychosocial adjustment among Orphans Without family in secondary level, On a sample consisted of (20) orphans from an orphanage House in Jeddah who received low grades on psychosocial adjustment scale, and were selected after applying the psychosocial adjustment scale on (60) orphans. The students were divided into two homogeneous groups the first one was the experimental group consisted of (10) orphans, the researcher applied the selective counseling program on them, and the other one the standard group which was consisted of (10) orphans, the tools of the study was the scale of psychosocial adjustment by Ibrahim (2004) and the selective counseling program to develop psychosocial adjustment by the researcher, it was consisted of (9) sessions applied over five weeks. The results showed the effectiveness of the selective counseling program in developing psychosocial adjustment, there were significant differences between the experimental and the standard group in the post measurement in favor of the experimental group. It also found significant differences between pre and post measurements of the experimental group in favor of the post measurement. The study recommended the importance of working to merge such groups in society and increase their acceptance and confidence in themselves, and conducting similar researches on the prisoners families and juvenile delinquents.
