Bullying is a negative phenomenon that has severe consequences affecting the educational system in a way that hinders the achievement of its desired goals. Education with its theories and philosophies has a great role in explaining the reasons for this phenomenon as schools have become an ideal place for bullying practices among students. The current study aimed at analyzing some of the causes of bullying and its motivations, applying some educational theories such as the behavioral theory and the self-theory. The study sample consists of 52 social workers in some Kuwaiti primary schools. Using a questionnaire prepared by the researcher, some results were reached, including: The reasons for bullying vary among some students in primary schools, including parental negligence, poor education, and the effect of the environment surrounding the bully. The results also revealed that some of the causes of bullying can be explained through the behavioral theory and the self-theory. (Published abstract)
