أثر استراتيجية التخيل الموجه على دافعية الإنجاز والاتجاهات نحو المدرسة لدى طلبة الصف الثالث الأساسي
This study aimed at identifying the impact of guided imagination strategy on achievement motivation and attitudes toward school among basic third-grade students. The sample of the study consisted of 50 female students from primary third grade students in rehab school for females in the city of Mafraq during the first scholastic term 2014-2015. They divided into two groups: the first group was the experimental group which consisted of 25 students who studied through guided imagination strategy, and the second group was the control group which consisted of 25 students who studied in the traditional manner. To achieve the study objectives, a quasi-experimental approach was used through applying training program for guided imagination strategy. Also, an achievement motivation instrument was set, the final form of the instrument consisted of 25 items. The other instrument was students’ attitudes towards the school, the final form of this instrument consisted of 16 items. After investigating the validity and reliability of the scales, they were applied on all of the study sample individuals, where the data was collecting and analyzed using statistical software SPSS, and univariate analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used, in addition to use paired sample t-test. The results indicated that there is statistically significant effect for applying the guided imagination strategy on achievement motivation and attitudes towards the school for the third-grade students. Also, the results showed that there is a statistically significant differences in the level of achievement motivation and attitudes towards school level for the primary third grade students toward the experimental group.
