الصداقة لدى طلبة جامعة تعز في ضوء بعض المتغيرات
This research aims at identifying the level of friendship of Taiz University student sand the differences in the means of sample members on the friendship scale according to the variables of gender (male and female) and college type (Scientific and Human) and place of residence (rural- city). The sample of the study consisted of (520) students (173) males and (347) females selected randomly from the various colleges and levels of Taiz University. To achieve the objectives of the current research, the researcher developed a friendship scale and verified its psychometric characteristics in terms of validity and reliability before administering it. It was found that the friendship scale has a high degree of validity and reliability. The results of the research indicated that the level of Taiz University students’ friendship is high. The results of the research also indicated that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of Taiz University students’ friendship according to the variable of gender (male and female), the variable of college type (scientific and human), or according to the variable of place of residence (rural and city).
