This study aimed to find out the reality of the professional development of faculty members at universities in the north of Saudi Arabia, and the development based on the standards of quality training program, the study sample consisted of (833) faculty at universities in the north of Saudi Arabia for the academic members (2014/2015), and to analyze the data of the study, used the averages, standard deviations, and analysis of single-alpine, and test Scheffe comparisons a posteriori, and t-test, the results showed that the reality of professional development at universities in the north of Saudi Arabia, moderate, and results showed that there were no significant differences between the averages of professional development for faculty members at universities in the north of the kingdom due to gender, and years of experience, academic specialization, as results showed the presence of statistically significant differences between the means of professional development for faculty members at universities in the north of the country depending on the practical qualified differences was in favor of the master's degree campaign. The study to build a training program for faculty members based on the overall quality standards and recommended its adoption. (Author's abstract)
