The current study aimed at investigating the effect of Big Five Factors of personality in choosing foreign language learning strategies, and their effect on language proficiency for students of English as a foreign language. The study sample consisted of 356 third & fourth grade general English students. Faculty of education. Ain Shams University. The study tools that were applied are: Big Five Factors inventory. Strategy Inventory for Language Learning, and language proficiency tasks. The study results through using structural model technique and AMOS 23 program have revealed the following results: The suggested structural model has good fitness with the sample data in regarding of effects among the big five factors (as independent variables), language learning strategies as (intermediate variables), and language proficiency (as dependent variable).
