The purpose of the study was to identify the impact of an educational program based on the skills of effective teaching in the level of critical thinking skills and the performance of volleyball skills in Kuwait. Subject consisted of (40) students from grade (10), at the secondary school of Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah (boys). The sample was selected intentionally, where they were divided into two groups, a control group consisting of (20) students, a group of experimental students (20). The experimental group of the teaching program based on effective teaching skills has been subjected to the level of critical thinking skills and skillful performance in volleyball. The control group has been subjected to the regular program. The duration of the proposed educational program was eight weeks, with three units per week, and each unit lasted 45 minutes. The researcher used the experimental method in a semi-experimental design to perform both the pre- and post-group tests. The researcher used the SPSS package for statistical analyses. Results showed no significant differences between the measures (pre and post) of the control group in critical thinking (independence, spiritual leadership, and performance analysis) and the skill performance of the wall block skill while there were differences of serve and receive skills for the post measure. The researcher also recommended using a teaching program based on effective teaching skills to improve critical thinking skills and volleyball skill performance. (Author's abstract)
