The letter aimed to identify the relationship between the practice of school journalism and the development of leadership behavior among prep students, by identifying the size of the participation of prep students in the school press activity, monitoring the journalistic activity in which students prefer to participate in, identifying the most important features of leadership behavior among students of the stage Preparatory and the study used the descriptive analytical method, and this study belongs to descriptive studies, and to achieve the goals of the study, the questionnaire tool and the leadership behavior scale were used. The study was applied to a sample of 400 pre-school students in Qaliubiya Governorate, and the study reached several results, the most important of which are: the presence of school journalism in middle schools, which confirms its importance in developing leadership behavior for students, the presence of a group of school journalism activity in preparatory schools, and height The percentage of students participating, which confirms the importance of employing this activity in developing their leadership behavior. The most important reasons for middle school students to participate in the school journalism activity is to form friendships with students and teachers, which confirms the extent of students ‘keenness to develop their leadership behavior, that the most important roles for students participating in the school journalism activity are by participating in writing and editing newspapers and attending press activity group meetings.
