فاعلية استخدام إستراتيجية kwl في تحسين تعلم طالبات الصف الأول الثانوي للتفكير الرياضي

This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using the KWL strategy in improving the first secondary grade's female students' learning of mathematical thinking. To achieve this, the mathematical thinking test was used, after checking its validity and reliability. The sample of the study consisted of (67) female students, who were selected by the available sample method. It was divided into two groups: the first one (n=34), was taught through the KWL strategy; and the second one (n=33) was taught through normal method. The results of the study showed that the students of the experimental group achieved the highest mathematical averages on the test of mathematical thinking. On the other hand, students in the control group achieved a few arithmetic averages. The results of the t-test revealed statistically significant differences between the two groups in the test. These differences were in favor of the experimental group that was educated through the KWL strategy. On this basis, the study recommended that the Jordanian Ministry of Education should employ the strategy (KWL) in mathematics teaching and learning. (Published abstract)
