The present study aims to identify the parental communication styles on the life satisfaction of the intermediate, the sample was selected from Yanob governorate, in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, consisting of (246) students during the period (2013-2014). The communication styles scale was designed based on the Satir model, the study also aimed at developing the life satisfaction scale. The results show that the parents, of intermediate students, have the communication skills at medium degree in both the total and (blamer and distractor) dimensions, while the communication skills were high in the dimension (the rational, correspondence and appealing). The results reveal that the students had high level of life satisfaction in the total degree or in the (family, society, personal relations and inter-personal relations) dimensions if they had medium degree in the school life satisfaction. Also it was concluded that the good use of communication skills by the parents will increase the students' satisfaction of life. The results provide some support for using communication styles, in general, with females is better than the communication styles used with the males. (Published abstract)
