The aim of this study is to find out the degree of including modern instructional strategies in the intermediate stage vocational teachers guide in Kuwait. The sample of the study consisted of intermediate stage practicum guide. It included collaborative learning strategies, asking questions, problem solving, brainstorming, and games. There are 30 skills; six skills for each major strategy. The study reached several results, including the inclusion 196 frequencies of skills in the guide; the strategy of asking questions ranked first with 44 frequencies; the strategy of cooperative learning ranked second with 41 repeated frequencies; the problem solving strategy came in the third order with a total of 40 frequencies; the brainstorming strategy came in the fourth place with 36 frequencies; the strategy of games ranked fifth and final, with a total of 35 frequencies. The study also found that the inclusion of the competitive spirit of the game strategy ranked first among the indicators including 13 frequencies (6.63% of the total number of frequencies). The index of how to classify ideas by value from the brainstorming strategy, and the inclusion of the thinking-driven strategy of the games got the last rang by one frequency each (0.51 of the total number). In the light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations, including adding more details in the guide in contemporary strategies, and the statement of the basic skills in the strategy and how to apply them. Future studies may evaluate the vocational studies guide in the light of other variables such as performance standards, competencies and others. (Author’s abstract)
