The study aimed to identify the perceptions of secondary school teachers in the Jordan to the role of social networks to increase political awareness they have, may be a community study of all teachers in public secondary schools of the Directorate of Education in Salt year (2011-2012), the roughly 583 teachers, while The study sample consisted of 126 male and female teachers, were selected simple random way, has been the development of a questionnaire, and used appropriate statistical methods to analyze the information. The study results showed that the level of importance of the reasons for the use of secondary schools for social networking teachers was high, the results also indicated that social networks used by secondary school teachers in Jordan is Watts father and most of which is a commonly used, followed by Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and explained the results of the study that perceptions secondary school teachers to the role of social networks to increase political awareness have come from a high level of importance. In light of the findings, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals, including the call for the establishment of social sites specialized teachers be within the social networking system, during which put national educational issues and the most important solutions and exchange views freely between both educators and policy makers education in Jordan, and the need for further studies on the role of social networks to increase political awareness to other communities, such as community college students and community members of the faculty of the university.
