The study aimed to identify the role of primary schools principals in Al Mafraq Directorate of Education in activating Reading and Mathematics Project (RAMP) for the early grades from teachers’ point of view, during the academic year 2017/2018, and the effect of certain variables (gender and educational qualification and years of experience) on that. The study sample consisted of (205) male and female teachers. A questionnaire was developed. It consisted of two domains. The first domain (the role of the principal in following-up teachers). It included (25) items. The second domain (the role of the principal in activating community participation. It consists of (14) items. The researcher used the scanning descriptive strategy, validity and reliability were ensured. The results of the study showed the role of primary school principals in activating Reading and Mathematics project (RAMP) was high domain. The results also showed statistical significant differences due to gender on all domains. The differences were in favor of females. The results also showed that there were no statistical significant differences due to qualification and years of experience. The results also showed that the role of primary schools principals in Al Mafraq Directorate of Education and of the two was high in all aspects. The Axeas came in the following descending order (the role of the principal of the school in activate social participation, the role of the principal of the school in follow-up teachers). The results also showed statistically a significant difference according in the two fields of due to teachers’ sex in favor of females. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in all fields of due to years of experience. The results also showed statistically significant differences on the first field of due to educational stage between who has Diploma and Baccalaureate certifications and others who has master certifications from other fields. The differences come due to who has Diploma and Baccalaureate certifications. According to the findings of the study, the researcher suggested a set of recommendations: recommends the principals for boys to give more importance to the project, and recommends development a reward system for teachers, makes training courses for teachers and makes more similar studies for different samples and cities.
