دافع تقرير المصير الذاتي وعلاقته بالتفكير الإبداعي لدى طلبة الجامعة الهاشمية في ضوء بعض المتغيرات
This study aimed at investigating the level of self-determination motive and its relationship with creative thinking among the Hashemite University student, and whether these two variables differ according to the variables of gender, college and study level. The study sample consisted of 400 students from the Hashemite University in Zarqa Govemorate enrolled in the second semester 2015-2016, they were chosen by cluster random method. To achieve the objectives of this study two scales were used: Self-determination scale which was developed after reviewing the theoretical literature, such as the study (Nofal, 2011), and the creative thinking scale (Amosh, 2015). The scale was adapted to the Jordanian environment by extracting new psychometric properties such as validity and reliability. The results showed that the level of self-determination of the study sample was moderate in the dimensions of (pleasure and interest, and the relationship), but low in the dimensions of perceived competency, effort and importance, perceived choices, and value and benefit, there is no statistically significant differences between male and female students on the dimensions of the scale except the dimension of (value and interest) which was in favor of the males. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences on the dimensions of the self-determination scale due to the variables of the college and the study level. The results also showed that the level of creative thinking among the study sample was low, and there were no statistically significant differences between male and female students on the dimension of the scale except the dimension of (flexibility) which was in favor of males. There were no statistically significant differences on the dimensions of the creative thinking scale due to the variables of the college and the study level The results also showed that there is a positive statistically significant relationship between self determination and the creative thinking among a sample study, and after using regression analysis the results showed that the self-determination can predict the creative thinking to the Hashemite University students. In light of the findings of the study it was to reach a set of recommendations are as follows: study recommends lifting of self-determination and self motivation level because of its positive impact on increasing students self-confidence and their decisions he urged those in charge of activities in the universities to establish programs and activities encourage students, especially females demand for extra curricular activities the study also recommends further studies on self-determination and creative thinking to sing the subject of the study is the largest of the lack of Arab studies on this subject with taking other variables.
