The present study aimed at investigating the validity and reliability measures to identify autistic children in United Arab Emirates. The sample of the study consisted of 112 cases identified to be autistics. The authors developed the scale of 47 items in its final version. The items distribute over three sub scales: stereotypes behavior, verbal communication and social interaction. The Reliability results indicated a positive correlation between test and retest, in addition to internal consistency for the whole scale (Cronbach Alpha 0.91 as well as for each subscale (stereotyping behavior, 0.81; communication, 0.76 and social interaction, 0.89). Results of discriminant analysis revealed that whole scale as well as the subscales are significantly valid in discriminating between children with and without autism. This confirms the ability of the scale to identify children with autism and its ability to distinsguish between the three possible of autism probabilities: Likely, Unlikely and Very high.
