صعوبات تدريس مادة التربية الإسلامية من وجهة نظر معلمات المرحلة الأساسية الدنيا في مدينة عمان

This study aims at surveying difficulties in teaching Islamic Education as viewed by the female teachers of the lower basic stage in Amman. A questionnaire of 73 items covering six areas has been developed;, including: teaching planning and objectives, material of the Islamic Education textbooks, teaching methods of the Islamic Education, teaching aids, evaluation, and teaching activities. The study sample consisted of 300 female teachers for the year 2010/2011. The study results indicated that teaching the Islamic Education curriculum of the lower basic stage was of an average difficulty, and with an arithmetic average of 1.75 on the Likert scale. Also, the study results showed the existence of some statistical differences in the degree of difficulty faced by the teachers attributed to the scientific qualifications in the area of curriculum material in favor of teachers holding either Diploma or Bachelor Degree. In addition, the results showed some statistical differences in the degree of difficulty attributed to the scientific qualifications in the area of Islamic Education teaching methods in favor of the Diploma Degree holders. Also, the study results revealed that some statistical differences exist due to the variation of annual performance ratings of teachers in the area of educational activities in favor of the “Good” rating. Finally, the results showed differences attributed to the university from which the teacher graduated in the area of teaching planning and objectives in favor of the private university.
