فاعلية استخدام برنامج إعلامي لقادة الرأي من الشباب في التوعية بمرض الإيدز : دراسة ميدانية
Introduction: This study aims to use media program among youth opinion leaders, to raise awareness of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and reduce stigmatization towards people living with this disease. The study is based on experimental method applying pre and post measurement on a sample of 295 females and males between 18- 21 years old from Cairo and El Minia Governorates. Importance: The importance of this study due to the importance of its theme; AIDS disease, which begins to exist strongly among different groups of society and unfortunately the number of those who are suffering from AIDS, increases continuously, this study covers a group of young people of 18- 21 years old; women and men of tomorrow who are facing multiple challenges. Aims: This study aims to contribute raising the awareness of young people of AIDS to protect themselves, as well as contribute protecting those around them, It also aims to use the program later in a wide scale to protect young people from the disease, especially within the institutions that deal directly with them. Results: The Study resulted in There is a relationship between the media program among youth opinion leaders and their awareness of AIDS, There are no significant statistically differences between males and females at the levels of information, attitudes and stigma regarding AIDS disease, There are no significant statistically differences between youth from Cairo and El- Minia Governorates at the levels of information, attitudes and stigma regarding AIDS disease, During the pre measurement conducted on the research sample, a correlation was observed between information, attitudes and stigma. As this measurement showed; the more the wrong information and lack of knowledge the more the trend of rejecting people living with AIDS and thus increases the stigma towards them.
