This research aims at investigating the academic problems facing students of the Class Teacher Department at the Faculty of Education, AL-Baath University. It also aims at identifying the differences in the nature of the problems due to the general secondary Certificate (Literary, Scientific) variable, and the years of study (first, second, third or fourth year) variable. The Sample of this research consists of 1000 students, male and female during the academic year 2010-2011. The Instrument of this research is a questionnaire which consists of 29 items. Each item presents an academic problem. The results show that there is no statistically significant difference due to the public secondary certificate variable. On the other hand, there is statistically significant difference due to the year of study variable in favor of the first year students. (Published abstract)
