إتجاهات طلبة جامعة دمشق نحو منع التدخين في الأماكن العامة : دراسة ميدانية على طلبة كليتي التربية والعلوم
The research studied the attitudes of a sample of students of the faculties education science at Damascus university towards smoking ban in public places. The sample consists of 411 students of the first fourth classes. The research used a questionnaire which consisted of 34 phrases which takes these dimensions: “personal, psychological, social and educational”. The finding of the research are as follows: 1) There are statistical differences in the average of banning smoking in public places according to the sex variable for the benefit of females. 2) There are statistical differences in the average of banning smoking in public places according to the academic area variable for the benefit of students of the faculty of education. 3) There aren’t statistical differences in the variable of banning smoking in public places according to the year variable. 4) There are statistical differences in the average of banning smoking in public places according to the benefit of non- smokers. The important suggestion: 1) Working to find places for smokers. 2) Carrying out a study of banning smoking in the public places on a wide sample or other categories of the society. 3) The necessity for advertisement to share in a campaign guidelines for smokers. 4) Putting warning labels and pictures for banning smoking. 5) There are graded deterent measures to smokers violators, to whom still smoke in public places. 6) Taking procedures to help banning smoking and protecting society from its harmful consequences helping people to get ride of smoking.
