الصراع بين القيم الاجتماعية وبين القيم التنظيمية لدى مديري مدارس التعليم الأساسي والثانوي الحكومية في مدينة دمشق
The study aims at finding the extent of conflict between the social values and the organizational values of principals of basic and secondary schools in the city of Damascus. This was discovered through answering the following questions. 1) What is the opinion of the principals themselves regarding the extent of conflict between the social values and the organizational values of the principals of basic and secondary schools in the city of Damascus? 2) Are there any differences of statistical significance at the level of 0.05, in the extent of conflict between the social values and the organizational values of the principals of basic and secondary education in the city of Damascus that might be attributed to gender, the type of school, or experience? The sample of the study consisted of 108 principals (32males and 16 females) in basic and secondary schools in Damascus. In trying to collect the data needed for the study, the researcher developed a questionnaire in order to find out the extent of conflict between the social values and the organizational values of the principals of basic and secondary schools in the city of Damascus. This questionnaire included 20 items. These items were tested and proved. The results of the study revealed the following: 1) There are differences of statistical significance in the extent of conflict between the social values and the organizational values of the principals of basic and secondary schools in the city of Damascus that are attributed to the variable of gender- for the benefit of the females. 2) There are no differences of statistical significance in the extent of conflict between the social values and the organizational values of the principals of basic and secondary schools in the city of Damascus attributed to the variables of the qualifications/ degree of the principals, and the variable of the gender. 3) There are differences of statistical significance in the extent of conflict between the social values and the organizational values of the principals of basic and secondary schools in the city of Damascus attributed to the variable of administrative experience of the school principal when the experience is less than 5 years.
