درجة توافر بعض الخصائص المهنية لدى رؤساء الأقسام الأكاديمية في جامعة الشرق الأوسط
This research aimed at discovering the degree of practicing job characteristics by department heads at the Middle East University. The sample consisted of 23 department heads and 57 faculty staff members, who were drawn randomly from all colleges in M.E.U. Questionnaire developed by the researcher was used to collect data, after insuring its validity and reliability. The finding of the research were: 1) The degree of practicing job characteristics by department heads as perceived by themselves and by faculty staff members of M.E.U. was average. 2) There were no significant difference at α≤ 0.05 in the degree of practicing job characteristics by department heads as perceived by faculty staff members due to the college specialty variable and experience and academic rank variables .But there were significant differences due to sex variable. In the light of the above results the study provided a number of recommendations: organizing training programmes for academic chairmen to develop their competencies in professional domain professional domain.
