The study aimed to reveal the level of inclusion of future thinking skills in the content of the chemistry course for the first year of secondary school (high school pathways system) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Using the descriptive approach based on content analysis, the researcher prepared a list of future thinking skills that must be included in the course content, consisting of (4) main skills, each of which includes a number of indicators indicating it. In light of them, a content analysis card was prepared. The results showed that the forecasting skill was the most included in the course content, as its inclusion rate reached (39%) at a moderate level of inclusion. Followed by the skill of solving future problems with a percentage of (34%) and a medium level of inclusion. Then the skill of future prediction with an inclusion rate of (14%) and a low level of inclusion. Then the skill of imagining the future is the least included skill (13%). And the level of inclusion is also low. In light of the results of the study, the researcher presented a number of recommendations, including: it is necessary for those responsible for planning and developing chemistry courses at the secondary level to pay special attention to establishing foundations and standards that ensure the inclusion of future thinking skills in a balanced and intentional manner in the content to ensure integration and continuity in the development of these skills among learners.
