This study investigated the requirements for activating qualitative methodology in developing scientific research from the perspective of faculty members in the educational departments at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. The research employs a descriptive survey methodology, collecting data from a randomly selected sample of 70 faculty members using a questionnaire designed to assess the academic, personal, and administrative requirements necessary to enhance qualitative research. The findings indicate a growing awareness of the importance of qualitative research in advancing educational studies. However, its implementation faces multiple challenges, primarily the lack of academic training, insufficient research resources, and weak institutional support. The study also highlights the need for specialized training programs, academic policies that encourage qualitative research, and the development of research infrastructure that facilitates the effective application of qualitative methodology. The study concludes that activating qualitative methodology requires integrated strategies, including strengthening research competencies, improving institutional support, and developing academic and administrative policies. It recommends incorporating qualitative research into academic curricula, providing incentives for qualitative research publication, and fostering research collaboration among academic institutions to expand the application of qualitative methodology in educational studies.
