مهارات التعلّم الموجّه ذاتيّا في عمليّة التعلّم من بعد لدى تلاميذ الصّفّ التّاسع من مرحلة التّعليم الأساسي : الضاحية الجنوبية لمدينة بيروت نموذجا
This study aims to reveal self-directed learning skills level during the distance learning process, the impact of those skills on the academic achievement of the students, as well as the impediments that hindered the development of self-directed learning skills of the students during distance learning. For this study, the descriptive analytical method was adopted, and the sample consisted of 136 students enrolled in grade nine at some of the South Suburb's private schools. The self-directed learning skills' scale was implemented in addition to interviews with ten students. The results of the study revealed that distance learning augmented the students' self-directed learning skills, self-directed learning skills were found to affect the academic achievement, and the existence of obstacles such as logistical hindrances have played a role in the disinclination of the elevation of each student's self-directed learning skills.
