This study aimed to identify the degree of appreciation of teachers and school head teachers of the primary stage at UNRWA schools in Jordan of the educational supervisor's precautionary role. To achieve the objectives of the study the descriptive method was employed and a questionnaire, consisting of 80 items distributed amongst five domains pertaining to the educational supervisor's duties and responsibilities, was administered. The study sample consisted of 350 teachers and 50 school head teachers during the academic year 2008/2009. Results of the study showed that supervisors perform their precautionary duties moderately on all the domains of the study. Interest in collecting database ranked first amongst the precautionary roles of educational supervisors at UNRWA schools. Results also revealed that there were statistically significant differences between teachers and school head teachers in the degree of their appreciation of the precautionary role of the educational supervisor in favor of the head teachers. Results also showed that the leadership and planning domain ranked first in appreciating the school supervisor's Precautionary role, while the teachers' professional growth domain ranked last.
