The study aims at identifying the correlation relationship between hyper competition and academic engagement, the effectiveness of personal construct counseling in reducing hyper competition and its impact on academic engagement university students, and the continuity of personal construct counseling program in the follow - up measurement (after passing a month and half). Counsel tic sample consisted of (6) male students, and (7) female students from university students, with mean age (22,5), and stander deviation (0,44). The tools of the study are: hyper competition scale for university students, personal construct counseling program (prepared by the researcher), academic engagement scale (prepared by Afifi, 2016). The following results were reached: The effectiveness of personal construct counseling program in reducing hyper competition and its impact on increasing academic engagement in university students has been illustrated in the post and follow – up measurements. No differences in the effectiveness of personal construct counseling program in male and female. (Published abstract)
