الشعور باعتبار الذات وعلاقته بكفاءة المواجهة لدى طلبة الجامعة
The research aims to identify the feeling of self-consideration and its relationship to the efficiency of confrontation among university students. The research is limited to a sample of (400) students from Tikrit University students of both sexes (males and females), and specialization (scientific, and humanitarian) for the academic year (2020-2021). The scales were applied to them electronically due to the Corona pandemic. The researcher adopts the confrontation efficiency scale presented by (Friborg et al., 2003) and translated it into Arabic. The scale consists of (43) items distributed over five areas (personal competence, social competence, family cohesion, social support, and personal structure), and in front of each paragraph there are five answers (always, often, sometimes, rarely, never), and the researcher also verified the psychometric properties of the scale: After analyzing the data, the following results showed: 1) The sample has a good level of sense of self-steem, and the average scores of the sample members on the scale were statistically significant. 2) The sample has a good level of confrontation efficiency, and the average scores of the sample members on the confrontation efficiency scale were statistically significant. 3) There is a positive, significant correlation between the sense of self-consideration and the efficiency of confrontation among the students of Tikrit University. In light of the research results, the researcher recommends a set of recommendations and suggestions. (Published abstract)
