The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of an educational program based on the associative method in facilitating the acquisition of historical ideas among students in the third stage of the history department. The researchers adhered to the protocols of both the descriptive method and the experimental technique. The experimental group, which studied the subject in the history of Islamic civilization according to the educational program, performed significantly better on the test for the acquisition of historical concepts compared to the control group, which studied the same subject according to the traditional program. The researchers ensured the validity and reliability of the test and employed various statistical methods, including the T-test for two independent samples, T-test for two correlated samples, Chi-square (Ka2), Pearson correlation coefficient, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient equation. Based on the statistical analysis of the results, it can be concluded that the experimental group exhibited superior performance in acquiring historical concepts. The findings indicated that the experimental group exhibited more proficiency than the control group in the idea acquisition assessment. (Published abstract)
