The research aimed to identify the level of emotional intelligence among postgraduate students, and the statistically significant differences of emotional intelligence according to the variables of gender (male - female), specialization (scientific - human) and gender (Master's - PhD). In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared a scale for measuring emotional intelligence. The scale consists of (42) paragraphs in the final form, and each paragraph has five alternatives (it always applies to me - often applies to me - sometimes applies to me - rarely applies to me - does not apply me never). As for the research sample, it consisted of (300) male and female students who were tested in a stratified random way from the faculties and departments of Tikrit University, using statistical methods. The validity, discrimination, and stability were verified using the following statistical methods (chi square, Vakronbach equation, t-test for one sample, t-test for two independent samples, analysis of variance). After processing the data statistically, the following results appeared: 1) Postgraduate students have a high level of emotional intelligence. 2) There are no statistically significant differences on the emotional scale according to the variables of sex, specialization and major.
