The study aimed to identify the availability of quality standards in the general teaching methods course at the College of Basic Education in the State of Kuwait. This is from the point of view of students enrolled in the course in the second semester of 2018-2019. The study relied on the descriptive approach; a questionnaire was prepared consisting of six axes that included (46) phrases. The study sample consisted of (168) male students and (174) female students. The results showed that the sample members highly appreciate the availability of quality standards in the curricula and general teaching methods with regard to the teaching methods used and the course objectives, while the estimates were moderately in relation to the availability of quality standards in the content, assessment methods, teaching aids and techniques. The results of the study also revealed the existence of a set of obstacles that greatly affect the failure to achieve quality standards at the desired level, the most important of which is the weak availability of appropriate laboratories to implement the training processes for teaching, as well as the lack of appropriate educational equipment for teaching the course in the classrooms.
