This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of empowering school principals to achieve sustainable leadership in light of Oman Vision 2040 in the Al Dakhiliyah and South Al Sharqiyah governorates of the Sultanate of Oman from the perspective of school principals. The study used a descriptive approach, and the questionnaire was applied as a data collection tool. The questionnaire consisted of three sections: The reference was to a very high level of effectiveness in empowering management in government schools in the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah and South Al Sharqiyah in the Sultanate of Oman, the study sample consisted of (162) school principals in the Al Dakhiliyah and South Al Sharqiyah governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. The study results showed that the level of achieving sustainable leadership was very high, and there was a very strong impact of empowering management in promoting sustainable leadership. The study found that Oman Vision 2040 plays a significant mediating role between empowerment and sustainable leadership. It recommended developing specialized training programs in sustainable leadership and institutional empowerment and integrating the dimensions of Oman Vision 2040 into school policies.
