This paper aimed to examine the level of psychological well-being among female students at the College of Education, University of Hail, and to investigate the effectiveness of a counseling program based on cognitive-behavioral theory in enhancing it. The paper employed a quasi-experimental design and included a sample of 30 students, divided into an experimental group of 15 students who participated in the counseling program and a control group of 15 students who did not receive the program. Results indicated that prior to the intervention, the students’ psychological well-being moderate, with “self-acceptance” ranking highest and “positive relationships with others” ranking lowest. Following the program, the experimental group showed significant improvement across all dimensions of psychological well-being compared to the control group. Multivariate analysis of variance confirmed statistically significant differences at overall mean psychological well-being score was 4.243 for the experimental group versus 3.447 for the control group. The paper concluded that the cognitive-behavioral counseling program effectively -being and strengthened its various dimensions. It recommends implementing similar counseling programs to develop positive coping skills and achieve better psychological balance among university students. (Published abstract)
