Practical education is an applied program that aims to train students at the College of Education in schools of education. It helps in transforming the concepts, theories, and methods they have studied in specialized educational and psychological courses into practical and realistic educational situations under the supervision of a joint team from the university and the school. The problem with this research emerged during the researcher’s supervision of the field training students, the course of learning disabilities during the past five years. The researcher looked for the factors that led to the success of practical education for students in the Special Education Department, specializing in learning disabilities. The objectives of this research were to identify the concept of practical education, its importance, and its objectives. And identify the obstacles that students face during the field training period. And to identify the procedures for implementing field training for students in the Special Education Department, specializing in educational difficulties determining diagnostic procedures and preparing an individual educational plan for students with learning difficulties. The research concluded the importance of practical education in transferring the student teacher to the realistic environment of teaching before graduation and his work in the educational field to discover his strengths and weaknesses, and to develop and improve his performance in a manner that suits those with learning difficulties. The conclusions necessary for the success of practical education for students of the Special Education Department specializing in learning difficulties were represented in the "cooperating school, the cooperating supervisor teacher, the follow-up academic supervisor, and the student, the diligent and organized teacher". The research ended with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is to motivate the supervising faculty member from the university and the supervising teacher from the school to provide the student teacher with a set of experiences that practical education aims at, as they represent the cornerstone of the success of the practical education program.
