This study aimed to identify the degree of students use of open-source eLearning platforms at Umm Al-Qura University. In order to achieve this goal, the study employed the descriptive survey method, which was applied to a random sample of (700) students at Umm Al-Qura University and all its branches, the data gathering tool was electronic questionnaire, the most important results of the study were that; the degree of Umm Al-Qura University students' usage of open source electronic platforms was average, in addition to the absence of statistically significant differences at (α≤0.05) level between the response averages of the study sample about the degree of using open source electronic platforms due to the variables (gender, school stage, major). In light of these results, the study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which are: the need of urging and directing students to employ different learning platforms in their academic learning such as open source electronic platforms to develop their different abilities.
